Job description

My client is an innovative leading Civil Engineering contractor within Highways, Energy and Rail. They have gained a reputation for delivering highly complex projects completed to the highest quality. They are seeking individuals to work in their dynamic fast paced environment. This role is for a Managing Quantity Surveyor (my client is also looking to hear from Senior Quantity Surveyors) an is located in Scotland, Ideally suited to those based near Glasgow, Falkirk, Stirling and East Kilbride. The pay rate for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 plus car/car allowance, pension, healthcare and life assurance.  

As the projects are multi-disciplinary, this can range from working on Bridges, Track, Tunnels, Stations and Electrification. Minor maintenance frameworks are also included in this.  

 

The role will include:  

- Reporting to the Commercial Manager  

- Managing a team of Quantity Surveyors  

- Sub-Contract Management  

- Change Management  

- Working on multiple projects  

- Client Interface  

- Providing key commercial support on multiple sites ensuring delivery is on time and to budget

Requirements

- Worked for a Rail/Civils Main contractor  

- Related qualification in Quantity Surveying  

- Well conversed with NR and NEC3 forms of contract  

- Experience of leading/managing a team of Quantity Surveyors  

- Dealing with complex/contractual negotiations  

- Currently working as a Managing/Senior Quantity Surveyor in a contracting environment
