Job description

Our client is a major Civil design, engineering and project management consultancy who has been rapidly growing within various sectors and who is looking for a Land Safety Consultant in Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T) to join their team in Bristol, they also have opportunities in Birmingham, Cheltenham, Epsom, Glasgow, London, and Manchester.  

 

Your purpose:  

You will be eager to expand your knowledge and experience and be someone who thrives in an innovative and supportive environment. Your role will involve the delivering the following for Land Systems:  

- Understanding and interpretation of safety and engineering risks.  

- Problem Solving.  

- Innovation.  

- Analysis and presentation of coherent outputs.

Requirements

- Working knowledge of safety regulations including Defence Safety Authority suite.  

- Knowledge and understanding of legislation (UK and EU in particular) and its application to land systems.  

- Working knowledge of safety standards such as Defence Standard 00-056.  

- Proven record of managing safety and safety artefacts including safety management plans, hazard logs and safety case reports at platform or at system level.  

- Experience in interrogation of data systems to assess currency, integrity, and associated risks.  

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation and presentation of reports to both internal and external customers.  

- Knowledge and awareness of other Defence safety disciplines (Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives for example).  

- Professionally registered at IEng or working towards it.
