Job description
Our client is a world-renowned international service provider specializing in certified, engineered and bespoke multi-protection doorsets.
They have an exciting new package of works in Reading and are looking to recruit a Mechanical/Electrical Installation supervisors.
Offering comprehensive in-house design, manufacture and installation services. They work with a broad range of commercial and industrial clients in the nuclear and waste recycling sectors.
Key areas of responsibility include:
• General Management
• Surveying works into existing electrical site systems
• To liaise with electrical design and electrical supplier / sub-contractor to ensure that equipment is fully set up and commissioned at each project
• Ensure technical input and expertise is best utilised
• Ensures equipment is FAT tested and snag free prior to arrival on site
• Timely production of regular reports to senior managers.
• Responsible for input into the overall programme and costs.
• Ensure capture of installation, testing and commissioning data
• Supervision of electrical installation
• Management of Electrical ITPs
• Responsible for snag free installation and commissioning
• Client Facing
• Building and maintaining relationships within the Client organisation, particularly Service Delivery
• Inputting to reports and other briefings to client management
• Liaison with the clients representatives from Asset Creation (AC) and Service Delivery (SD) on an ongoing basis
• Liaison with the clients SAP for the project
• Organising SAP visits and electrical permits to work
Requirements
- Supervisory experience in a mechanically biased role
- Manufacturing/Electrical/Industrial Background (essential)
- Full Driving License (essential)
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Previously held S/C Clearance or hold it currently
- Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification where appropriate
- Emergency first aid or First Aider
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and Health and Safety training
- Numeric and reading skills
- Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
- Good communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Ability to give and take instruction
