Job description

Our client is a multi-discipline civil engineering contractor with many years’ experience delivering world class projects across the UK and they are currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for projects located in London.  

 

 

 

Job Description:  

 

 

You must have a proven track record working in a similar role with a contractor. Career progression and stability of work on range of projects will be available.  

 

 

 

Some of the main duties for this role include:  

 

• Ensure accurate and time efficient reporting of project  

 

• Update monthly CVR  

 

• Help ensure that any main contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate for the company  

 

• Identity commercial risks  

 

• Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions  

 

• Build and maintain good client relationships  

 

• Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting  

 

• Prepare applications for payment  

 

• Liaise with the client, client representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations

Requirements

- Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent  

 

- Strong computer literacy  

 

- Ability to deal with large quantities of data  

 

- Strong knowledge and experience with NEC4 or NE4 forms of contract  

 

- Proven experience in the civil engineering and water sectors  

 

- Experience working for a contractor
