Job description
Our client is a water & utilities contractor looking for a Project Manager to work on Thames Water projects in East London, the right candidate will have experience in the water sector and have the ability to lead a multidiscipline team.
Duties:
- General project management
- Maintain and build client relationships, design consultants and framework suppliers
- Chair weekly meetings
- Produce financial forecasts, monitor and control project costs and cost reporting
- Manage site investigations
- Implement project plans
- Review work packages and ensure the scope of work is clearly defined and understood
- Produce monthly reports
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting.
- Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- CSCS manager’s card
- SMSTS
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Knowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms
- Excellent communication, people, and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentor
- Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion- Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance
