Job description
Our Client is a leading water industry-based company. For contract work the pay rate will be £300 - £350 per day, or for permanent £40,000 - £50,000.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will work within their Projects department, reporting to the senior management team, in the Design, Planning, Reporting, Delivery and Review of Engineering Solutions. Projects will be varied, predominantly in the Southeast but potentially anywhere in the UK.
Some of the main role responsibilities include:
• Preparation of Documentation packs including RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, Specifications and Schedules.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Innovative thinking with the ability to develop practical design solutions to meet technical challenges.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills.
• Attention to detail and a dynamic approach.
• Good communication skills both in written correspondence and client facing meetings.
• Familiarity with the standard Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential. Microsoft Project experience would be beneficial.
• An ability to manage contractors and engineers when required.
• Full UK driving licence.
Requirements
Candidates should have a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering degree, but other qualifications will be considered for the role including HND/HNC level and significant relevant experience. A willingness to work within and develop knowledge of all three disciplines will be essential, with support provided.
