Freelance P6 Planner

Our client is looking to hire a Freelance P6 planner for utilities and substation construction schemes across the Wessex route, the P6 Planner will be responsible for all planning and schedule management activities within the corporate planning tool ensuring a true representation of the Capital Delivery Programme is established and maintained within the corporate planning tool. The Planner will ensure visibility and alignment with the business plan and Performance Commitments throughout. They will also act as an expert adviser, providing support and training to maintain agreed minimum standards and improve the quality of data used for upwards reporting. Close cooperation with the Programme Planners in the Programme Management team to ensure alignment of the overall delivery is essential to ensure that any issues can be resolved or escalated as appropriate.  

Duties:  

- Prepare reports on programme and progress of internal and external planning and operational meetings  

- Update and maintain project schedules and programmes  

- Liaise with client teams and subcontractors  

- Work closely with construction managers and commercial team  

- Bachelors or equivalent experience  

- UK Driving licence  

- P6 planning experience in a contractor setting  

- NEC3 contract knowledge  

- Excellent IT skills, must be proficient in MS Project  

- Ability to develop schemes from pre-construction to construction
