Job description

Our client specialise in Utilities (Power/Telecoms), Civil Engineering and Infrastructure and have built their business on a foundation of expertise, teamwork and providing quality turnkey solutions for their clients that exceed expectations.  

Continuing their upward trajectory and continuous pipeline of secured contracts, they are planning to expand and invest across all teams in the coming months. Presently, they require an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join their team to work across a diverse range of projects.  

 

Some of the main responsibilities include:  

- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of the company and its customers.  

- Manage multiple and/or major projects safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget.  

- Ensure project meets all current legislation HASAWA, NRSWA C.O.S.H.H. etc.  

- Ensure teams are working in a safe manner to the correct standard or workmanship  

- Undertake inspections daily / weekly inline with the company processes, report all findings to QSHE department.  

- Conduct TBT’s which are prepared by the QSHE team, identify potential learning areas for new TBT’s to be provided.

Requirements

- Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering (or demonstrable level of achievement through experience)  

- Experienced in managing teams of operatives within highways.  

- Previous experience of utility schemes are essential.  

- Good people management skills.  

- Computer literate – skilled in use of Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Project.  

- Sound knowledge of H&S and its practical implications.  

- Knowledge of CDM regulations.  

- Knowledge of HAUC  

 

Certificated in the following areas:  

- First Aid  

- Manual Handling  

- Health and Safety awareness  

- Driving  

- NRASWA
