Job description
Our client is a specialist in project management and design of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems. They are currently seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Project and Commissioning Engineer to join their team in one of their offices in London, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Midlands or Sussex.
You will be required to work on multiple projects within the Water Industry with responsibilities including: -
• Provide expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation systems within Water industry projects.
• Leading Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation projects from concept through to completion.
• Assist with the development and review of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering designs.
• Management of installation and commissioning activities.
• Co-ordination of key stakeholders to achieve a successful delivery of various projects.
• Development and management of commissioning documentation.
• Attend and lead regular meetings with key stakeholders.
Requirements
Ideally you will have experience in the following areas and disciplines: -
• Understanding of Electrical and instrument, and control & automation systems along with ability to understand and work through electrical drawings and key documentation.
• Familiar electrical system installations, MCCs, and control panels.
• Project engineering or similar role.
• Ability to manage installation and commissioning activities, resolving issues during the process.
• The clean and wastewater industry (preferred, however not essential).
Other requirements: -
• Ability and desire to work within a closely integrated team.
• Familiar and competent with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Being able to demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills
• Desire to work flexibly between site, office, and from home.
• Being able to attend meetings in various locations as per project requirements.
• Ability to interpret information and data related to the role.
An Engineering Degree or Higher National Certificate (dependent on experience) is essential for this role.
