Job description
We are currently looking to recruit a Commissioning Engineer CE3 to work within the Thames Valley and the South West and Wales areas. For this role lodging away will be required but not frequently, and travel is likely.
To be a Commissioning Engineer for our water Client you will need good general understanding of Supply and Sewage water treatment. This role requires you to:
- Assist with and carry out all types of Low Voltage electrical work
- Reasonable understanding of mechanical systems related to our Clients general works
- Interpretation of site drawings, and project and manufacturers information
- Panel drawings
- BCD/Loops/Schedules
- P&ID
- NICEIC Testing
- Fault finding/diagnostics with drawings and support
- Panel / Circuit modifications with drawings and support
- Capable of commissioning:
- Single plant items of general their install, i.e. Floats, Ultra-sonic, flow-meter, DOL & S/D starters
- Adjust Siemens and ABB VSD settings for site application
- Pump Pumping Station
- Conduct training
- Assist Systems Integrator with commissioning and modifications
- Navigate HMI/SCADA systems
You will also need:
- To ensure that the commissioning of all site installations is carried out in line with safety standards and legislation
- To ensure that the commissioning of all site installations is carried out in line with our Clients procedures
- To ensure that all equipment works in line with its specification
- To ensure that all commissioning is carried out within agreed timescales
Requirements
- Gold ECS card
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- EUSR Clean Water card
- Punctuality and reliability
- Fitness to work medical
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and Health and Safety training
- Numeric and reading skills
- Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
- Good communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Ability to give and take instruction
- Completion of appropriate electrical qualifications
- Good IT skills (Word and Excel)
Knowledge of:
- Ethernet & industrial networks (ie Profibus, devicenet, etc)
- VSD, soft start, star/delta, DOL starters
- PLC & HMI/SCADA (programming not required)
