Our construction client currently has a requirement for a BIM Manager to join them across the West Midlands.
Job Description:
You will play a vital role in this exciting journey by overseeing the day to day running of the alliance’s BIM360 Platform and complimentary systems, ensuring that they are operational and continue to evolve to support their changing business, they are looking for a BIM Manager to join the team!
What will you be doing as their new BIM Manager?
As their new BIM Manager , you’ll be responsible for their BIM strategy, working collaboratively with key departments in the alliance and wider to ensure that it fits their business aspirations. You’ll be a BIM360 ambassador, working across the alliance to help raise the profile of the platform and ensuring that they move in a cohesive, joined up direction.
You’ll have the opportunity to research new technologies, assessing how they could assist their business. You’ll play a key part in ensuring that the alliance achieves its efficiency targets through digital transformations and ensuring they remain an industry leading collaborative alliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Creating and evolving their BIM strategy, focussed on their business goals and the Employers Information Requirements (EIR) whilst ensuring that they are compliant with a minimum of Level-2 BIM and aligned to all relevant BIM standards and government strategies.
- Utilising supplier roadmaps to create alliance specific platform plans of action, assess where new functionality will assist the alliance in obtaining the required efficiencies/collaboration.
- Working with other members of the Digital team and appropriate stakeholders to ensure that platforms are integrated with other alliance platforms and aligned with the Digital strategy.
- Manage the relationship with their BIM Coordinators and user base, ensuring that they are kept up to date with process and technology changes.
- Along with the wider digital team, support the users in making the most of the platform, upskilling their people and ensuring they have the required competencies.
- Champion the use of their BIM platform across the alliance and the wider business.
Requirements
As their new BIM Manager, you’ll have previous experience of BIM processes and methodologies with a proven track record of the management of business systems. You’ll have previous exploitation of technologies to improve business efficiency.
You’ll demonstrate excellent communication and written skills and be process and data driven. You’ll have the ability to demonstrate people management and stakeholder management skills. Previous experience working within the water industry would be desirable.
