Job description

Over the last few years our client has been expanding their environmental capability, particularly in the EIA sector. Their team currently delivers work for the Environment Agency through the WEM Framework; HS2; National Grid. They are also looking to expand their capabilities in the water sector and the wider infrastructure sector. Our client is now looking for an Associate/Associate Director for their Glasgow operations to provide technical direction to the existing team and help them expand into renewables and grow new business opportunities.  

 

Job Description:  

 

As part of your role you will provide technical direction to the existing team and help the company expand their renewables team and grow new business opportunities. You will take on management responsibilities and help with project delivery. You will be a chartered Environmentalist and will have a proven track record for attracting and building new business opportunities in the EIA field and delivering large complex projects in the infrastructure sector (water, rail, housing or commercial property).

Requirements

Key skills:  

- EIA/SEA  

- Environmental Legislation  

- Excellent written and verbal communication  

- Business Development  

- Project Management/Project Direction  

- Proven track record of attracting new business opportunities  

 

In addition to the above, you would be expected to be able to demonstrate working experience in some of the following technical areas:  

- Strong experience in delivering large and complex EIAs/SEAs  

- Strong experience in rail/infrastructure sector  

- Experience in FCRM sector  

- Experience on projects needing Habitats Directive Assessment or Water Framework Directive Assessment  

- Consenting, CEEQUAL/BREEAM  

- Consultation and Stakeholder engagement  

- Sustainability Assessments & Health Impact Assessments  

 

Qualifications:  

As the successful candidate, you will hold a BSc & MSc in a related Environmental Science field with experience in EIA. You will be a chartered member of a relevant institution. You will also drive on behalf of the company to visit clients/sites etc and therefore a valid UK driving licence is essential.
