Job description
This role is for a Site Agent - subcontractor located in Bournemouth and is outside IR35.
Job Description:
Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing all aspects of the onsite project works
- Overseeing project delivery, safely, on time and to budget
- Supporting the production of the Construction Phase Plan
- Managing the railway interface planning operations
- Ensuring all who work on the project, including subcontractors adhere to the Construction Phase Plan
- Robust “safety first” approach to the planning & undertaking onsite works
- Ensuring that safety and environmental aspects of projects are resourced adequately and are not compromised in any way
- Mitigating commercial risk throughout the project cycle by ensuring that contract variations and claims are communicated to the Project Manager & Commercial QS, submitted in accordance with the project specific conditions of contract.
- Ensuring compliance with the company health & safety policy, PCL, QUENSH, operations, quality and environmental procedures.
- Ensuring all those working on the project comply with the company health & safety policy, PCL, QUENSH, operations, quality and environmental procedures.
- Fostering sound working relationships with client representatives.
- Identifying opportunities for potential contract growth.
Requirements
- Any of the following: works on civils trough routes, concrete slab foundations, platform staging for equipment for transferrable railway disciplines such as telecoms civils, signalling civils , building and civils , on the railway network.
- Competent in setting out and understanding technical design drawings
- Knowledge of Network Rail rules and regulations as applicable to the role.
- Detailed knowledge of Network Rail Traction and Non Traction HV Infrastructure, including planning, resourcing, installation and commissioning of all Assets within the HV infrastructure.
- Demonstration of knowledge of working in the 3rd Rail environment
- Understanding of The Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations
- Detailed knowledge of the Safe System of Work planning process.
- In depth understanding of the CDM regulations.
- Knowledge & understanding of risk assessment processes and techniques
- Detailed knowledge of method statement / Work Package Plan requirements
- Pro -active behaviours to collaboratively work within and add significant value to the team
- Customer focused behaviours
- Ability to constructively challenge and be open to challenge
- Proven record in people management.
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
- Computer literacy.
Minimum qualifications, training, certification:
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification
- Full Drivers Licence
Desirable:
- Emergency First Aid
- SMSTS or CSCS Black Card
