Job description

This is a full time role which involves travelling to sites and offices in London and South East England when required, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible throughout full life cycle of projects and ensure that all commercial and contractual aspects of the relevant projects are thoroughly managed and controlled in a well organised manor. Our client is offering a car package and competitive salary.  

 

 

Duties:  

 

- Ensure accurate and time efficient reporting of project  

 

- Update monthly CVR  

 

- Preparation of internal CVR on a monthly basis to satisfy the requirements of the Commercial Manager / Senior Commercial Manager and any other reports which may be required  

 

- Help ensure that any main contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate for the company  

 

- Identity commercial risks  

 

- Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions  

 

- Build and maintain good client relationships  

 

- Prepare applications for payment  

 

- Liaise with the client, client representatives and other third parties  

 

- Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations  

 

- Preparation and management of subcontract and key material procurement schedule  

 

- To encourage and develop a culture of contractual awareness within the site team and ensure that the full contractual entitlement is achieved by rigidly managing records, contractual notifications, change control, etc  

 

 

 

 

Requirements

 

- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction related Higher National Diploma or Degree  

 

- Proven experience working on rail projects  

 

- NEC contract experience  

 

- PTS  

 

- CSCS  

 

- Full UK Driving License
