Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a rail and civil engineering contractor with many years’ experience delivering world class projects across the UK and they are currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor located in Walsall.  

You must have a proven track record working in a similar role with a contractor and be able to liaise with clients. Career progression and stability of work on range of projects will be available.  

Some of the main duties for this role include:  

• Monthly reports  

• Must be able to work independently  

• Regularly chair meetings  

• Commercial management of subcontractors  

• Ability to support and mentor junior members of team

• HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying  

• Understanding of current construction law  

• Ability to deal with large quantities of data  

• Strong knowledge and experience with NEC4 or NE4 forms of contract  

• Proven experience in the civil engineering and water sectors  

• Experience working for a contractor  

Desirable:  

• CSCS card  

• Member of RICS or working toward membership
