Job description
Our client is a rail contractor looking for a Project Manager to work on projects located in Wigan this role involves working with a multi discipline team on track renewal, track maintenance, tunnelling, slab track and infrastructure projects.
Job Description:
Duties:
• Maintain processes to manage scope over the project life cycle
• Develop and nurture relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Must have strong communication skills
• Develop project plans to monitor and track progress of the project
• Manage quality and efficiency of improvement initiatives
• Mentor and support junior Project Managers in the team
• Set project performance standards and manage risk across numerous projects
• Support the SPM with bid management, when required
Requirements
• Degree qualified within a Project Management or construction related field or equivalent experience
• Solid technical background, with hands on experience in delivering rail infrastructure projects
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including SharePoint)
• Experience of Project Management software tools
• Prince Foundation & Practitioner certified desirable.
