Job description

Our Client has a great opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to work for a Leading contractor within the Rail industry. This role is located in Doncaster and is fully office based, you will however on occasions be required to travel to their clients sites throughout the UK, therefore will need a full UK driving license. Personal development and progression are key to our Client, they ensure the individuals always have the support to make the next step.  

The role will provide support to our Client's existing Estimating Team to ensure accurate costing and planning. You will be involved in the generation and submission of quotations, bids and tenders to meet their customer’s requirements and business needs.  

 

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:  

• Supporting Bid Manager  

• Putting Tenders together  

• Providing Estimates  

• Pricing works

Requirements

• Experience of HS2, Depos, Network Rail  

• Proficient in Excel and Causeway  

• Highly desirable Rail background (Civils will be considered)  

• Minimum 1 -3 years’ experience  

• Educated to HNC or equivalent.  

• Good attention to detail.  

• Can work on your own, and work as part of a team.  

• Must be proficient in MS Office applications. The applicant must have excellent Microsoft Excel skills.  

• You must be technically minded, and have good organisation skills.
