Job description

Our client is a major tier 1 main contractor that works in the water and civils markets across the UK, due to recent project wins they now have several fantastic opportunities and are recruiting for Work Pack Engineer. This role is located in Reading. This is also open to Apprentices who are working through their qualifications and will be supported in their development requirements  

 

Job Description:  

 

The role will be a key part of the Project Management Area Teams as they look to obtain bulk construction completion and handover the area to the operator. This role will cover all non-Mechanical and Electrical supply aspects of the scope including RC, doors and Process Plant and Equipment.  

 

Some of the main responsibilities include:  

 

• Review of all available documentation and drawings to gain an in depth understanding of the works involved  

• Ensuring all required Work Packs are in place prior to works commencing on site  

• Supporting the Construction Manager in ensuring adherence to the Programme  

• Supporting the Construction Manager and owning and developing own short term Cell Programmes  

• Interaction with various stakeholders, client, designer, engineering, commercial etc. to ensure the timely close out of constraints and blockers  

• Attendance at Construction Sequencing sessions and supporting the co-ordination of activities on site  

• Direct engagement with supply chain site teams to ensure works can progress  

• Monitoring and reporting against progress  

• Ensuring compliance with all Work Pack Documentation for a right first time outcome  

• Weekly reporting against progress and review of forecast works to be completed across the following 4 weeks

Requirements

The roles require Security Clearance at SC level with some to DV level, therefore the ability to obtain clearance is essential; 5 years continuous residency in the UK and UK Citizenship is required.
