The Glasshouse Gardens residential scheme, comprising of two tower buildings with one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, will be constructed at the International Quarter in Stratford overlooking the Olympic Stadium.
The works are scheduled to begin next summer.
According to Lend Lease, the new apartments will exhibit the latest developments in sustainable building practices and innovation.
The main aim will be to build each apartment in such a way as to maximise natural light and fresh air.
Additionally, green roofs will be implemented on all buildings for absorption of rainwater and provision of insulation.
The new apartments are part of The International Quarter, a joint venture between Lend Lease and LCR to deliver a £1.3bn commercial and residential development in Stratford.
Kristy Lansdown, Lend Lease’s Project Director, said: “We have worked closely with the London Borough of Newham and the London Legacy Development Corporation during the design process.”
During the past 12 months only Lend Lease has been granted planning permission for more than 1,000 new homes in Central London.
The works on the firm’s another major regeneration site in Central London at Elephant & Castle have already started.
The £1.5bn regeneration development is designed to deliver 3,000 news homes and 160,000 sq ft of retail space as well as commercial and leisure space over the next decade.
Earlier in the autumn, Lend Lease won a planning permission for two new sites at Battersea comprising 200 units at Cobalt Place and Victoria Drive respectively.
