The race for the UK’s largest regional building ‘mega framework’ worth £3.9bn has begun. Labelled the UK Southern Regional Framework Agreement, it consolidates three existing deals - worth between £2.4bn and £3.9bn over four years – covering London, the South East and South West.
Currently being procured by Devon County Council, Hampshire County Council and Haringey Council, up to 50 firms will be shortlisted to bid in three lots under the framework:
Lot 1: Southern Construction Framework (value up to £800m)
Lot 2: Southern Construction Framework, South East (value up to £1.5bn)
Lot 3: Southern Construction Framework, London (value up to £1.6bn)
The framework will supersede the London Construction Framework, the Construction Framework South West and the iESE South East.
The deadline for firms to submit PQQs is July 1st. Shortlisted firms will be invited to tender on 19th September 2014.
Construction works are set to commence in April 2015 and recruitment of engineers shortly before.
