Job description

Our Client is a well established Petrochemical Contractor who has a requirement for a Plant 3D Piping Designer, who will be required to work on projects in the Hull area and nationally.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

- The piping designer will be able to carry out the following activities on specific areas within the plant. This role is to support checking of other designers’ deliverables in the main and they must have experience of checking.  

- Design of installable-piped systems / plant layouts that can be safely operated and maintained.  

- Design of pipe supports.  

- Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.  

- Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design.  

- Production of various deliverables e.g. Isometrics, general arrangements, support details.  

- Checking of other designers’ deliverables.

Requirements

Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications:  

- The candidate must be an experienced Plant 3D user, particularly in piping and the production of automated isometric drawings from the 3D model.  

- They should have over 10 years’ experience of piping design working within a highly regulated industry, 3 of which must have been gained within the Petrochemical Industry  

- To be fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry guides and standards relating to this discipline.
