They currently have a new opportunity for Town Planners ( All Levels ). This role is flexible across all their locations in the UK including Warrington, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, London, Birmingham, and Bristol.
Bring your skills to the table as a Town Planner in their diverse and friendly national Planning team. You'll work in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating and learning within their teams and businesses across the UK and worldwide. They are big on expertise but not on hierarchy. So, they will trust you with more responsibility faster, supporting you to progress and lead on an exciting variety of major infrastructure and development projects.
Flexible working is part of their culture, so talk to them about your priorities inside and outside work. You won't need to sign up for a 9-to-5, five-day week, full-time contract. Their office spaces can accommodate quieter individual work or team working where you can connect and socialise. And if being based at home suits you better, their IT systems will make your days just as easy and effective.
Responsibilities and requirements will depend on your experience, their team:
- Provides advice to their growing markets in the development, transportation, energy, aviation, water and defence sectors.
- Delivers an expanding workload for a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors.
- Works in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment with colleagues in environmental, engineering and design disciplines across the wider business UK and international teams.
- Delivers transformative and high-quality infrastructure and communities.
Requirements
- A relevant planning degree and either RTPI membership or evidence of working towards RTPI membership (or related/equivalent qualifications/professional membership) are desirable.
- You must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined and resilient.
- Work under pressure, with excellent time management and success in meeting tight deadlines. Manage and work on multiple assignments delivering outputs on time and within budget.
- Work well as part of multi-disciplinary teams with the confidence to input effectively as an individual across a range of projects, consenting and strategic planning, and a range of geographies.
- Prepare accurate and well-presented reports and presentations to a high standard.
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss planning issues.
- Flexibly apply knowledge and experience to a wide variety of planning-related tasks.
- Being different makes a difference – creative thought, qualitative reasoning, atypical problem-solving, pattern spotting, big-picture thinking, and the ability to multi-task or single-task focus.
