Senior Highways Engineer

Our client is a major design, engineering and project management consultancy who has been rapidly growing within various sectors and who is looking for multiple experienced professionals to join them on permanent basis. This role is for a Senior Highways Engineer located in Bristol.  

Key responsibilities:  

- Leading technical delivery of highway engineering projects and key technical input into multi-disciplinary projects.  

- Oversee completion of designs and the production and review of design and construction ready documentation.  

- Maintaining and developing excellent Client relationships.  

- Support in work winning including preparation of bids and tenders.  

- Support the development of more junior staff through technical training, on the job coaching and mentoring.

- BEng, MEng, or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.  

- IEng or CEng through professional bodies, such as ICE or CIHT. Alternatively, demonstrable progression towards relevant professional qualifications.  

- Extensive experience of working with key clients, e.g., Local Government, National Government, Developers and/or major Contractors.  

- Working knowledge of relevant design standards including, TSRGD, Manual for Streets 2, DMRB and associated documents including the Specification for Highway Works.
