Job description
Our Client is an international infrastructure provider delivering excellence in service, innovation and safety. They are currently seeking an Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Slough offering the flexibility of working from home as it is a hybrid position.
Job Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and application of Company and project specific commercial systems and procedures including but not limited to improving margin, risk assessment, pricing of change, cost monitoring, supply chain procurement, insurances and guarantees and ensuring that all relevant documentation reflects our Clients policy.
Key Role Deliverables:
•Pricing of change orders
•Measurement of client design drawings with a particular focus on earthworks, underground services,(reinforced concrete and formwork)
•Dealing with subcontractor orders and general paperwork
•Management of companies cost ledger in respect of a Joint Venture arrangement
•Procurement of materials including, pipework, chambers, pumps etc.
•Creating monthly applications towards client and understanding and developing project budgets
•Dealing with client queries related to scope of works – good understanding of BoQ and SoW
•Any other reasonable requests as required for the business
•Develop long term and mutually beneficial relationships with clients
•Increase the possibility of repeat business
•Keeping in-step with the needs and concerns of your client resulting in client satisfaction
•Any other reasonable requests from management
•It is expected that all of your behaviours and day to day activities will be underpinned by the company core values
Requirements
•High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum)
•3-5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
•Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
•Accredited by (RICS) and or (CIOB)
•Experience within the civils and utilities sector
