Job description

My client is a reputable Tier 1 contractor within Construction, Building and Rail. They are looking for a M&E Project Manager to join the M&E team. With the recent award of new projects this is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to be based around the Kent area working on major M&E based projects.  

 

Duties:  

- Maintain effective assurance to control risks and enable maintenance, construction design and project work to be completed in a way which is compliant with standards, performance and business processes.  

- Develop and maintain relationships with key senior customers, stakeholders and suppliers within the Infrastructure Construction & Engineering ( ICE) portfolio.  

- Secure adequate resources and funding to enable efficient & safe delivery of the portfolio.  

- Direct the timely assignment of, and thereafter, discharge of, Construction Design Management (CDM) obligations for all projects in programme.  

- Control and check the quality of work undertaken and confirm assets are compliant to standards.  

- Check that the staff and subcontractors under your control have the appropriate and valid competencies.  

- Check that vehicles, plant, tools, equipment and materials under your control are fit for use and are used/stored and disposed of correctly.  

- Accurately report all work completed/not completed and produce/maintain records as required.

Requirements

- You need to be able to work well with others in a team, but equally able to work independently using your own initiative to problem solve.  

- Excellent MS Office skills, well versed in the preparation of reports and information using packages such as Word, Excel and Adobe.  

- APM full membership and a relevant degree are desirable  

- Full Driving License  

- Valid PTS  

- Strong Rail M&E Background  

- Previously working on EV Charging Projects
