Job description

Our client is a major design, engineering and project management consultancy who has been rapidly growing within various sectors and who is looking for multiple experienced professionals to join them on permanent basis. They currently have an opportunity for a Drainage/Environmental and SUDS Engineer across the UK.  

 

Job Description:  

 

Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:  

· Develop concepts & designs for drainage and SuDS to different Clients.  

· Project and design management of schemes, delivering projects to time and to budget.  

· Maintain high levels of awareness of the implementation of changes in legislation.  

· Identify business development opportunities.  

· Prepare financial and technical proposals for project opportunities.  

· Co-ordination with multidisciplinary teams working on the projects and site team.  

· Client and stakeholder interface.

Requirements

· Degree in relevant subject  

· Appropriate experience post graduation (minimum 3 years)  

 

Desirable Criteria:  

· Experience in drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS).  

· Knowledge of industry standard drainage networks design.  

· Competence in the use of AutoCAD and Hydraulic modelling – preferably Microdrainage.  

· Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget.  

· First class written and oral communication skills.  

· A natural curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable and cost effective solutions for their clients.  

· Experience of team working on multi-disciplinary projects.  

· Competence in the use of Civil3D.  

· Sound commercial understanding.  

· Team builder, developing the technical excellence of their team.  

· Able to develop and motivate others.  

· Proven record of developing client relationships.  

· Attained or working towards relevant professional qualification.
