Job description

Our client is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering, project management and building services consultancies. They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Site Engineer (supporting NEC Supervisor) to join one of their London teams on permanent basis.  

You will be a part of 10+ site based team in East London and working on mixed use development. Buildings include a museum, theatre, university and a recording studio. This is full time site-based role you will be witnessing and reviewing the quality of works.  

 

Your main responsibilities will include:  

- Quality supervision of MEP packages across four buildings, specifically mechanical/HVAC installations.  

- Commissioning validation – review of contractors commissioning plans and witnessing of testing.  

 

You will also:  

- Act as the Employer’s Site Quality Assurance Representative.  

- Verify the Works Deliverables Against the Approved Contractual Works Information.  

- Verify Contractor’s Compliance with Self-Certification.  

- Raising a Defect – Live Tracker.  

- Defect Resolution.  

- Risk reduction meetings.  

- Amendment of works information to incorporate defects (with agreement).  

- Defects rectification period.  

- Tender support for quality.  

- Commissioning Validation.

Skills


• Technical knowledge: - Mechanical/HVAC systems
• Metering & controls for the above systems
• Operational testing/witnessing of the above systems
• Provision & issuing regular progress reports & responding to any appropriate TQs/RFIs.

Requirements

- Experience in design & construction of mechanical/HVAC systems.  

- Previous site experience, ideally on major schemes.
