Job description
Our client , a multi-disciplinary Building Services consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their team based in Kent.
Responsibilities and role:
• Full Electrical services design including lighting, power, LV/ HV distribution, fire, security and AV/ IT/ Comms with accompanied calculations via software such as Amtech/ dialux.
• Produce client briefing documents and presentations for projects.
Main purpose of the job:
The Intermediate Electrical Engineer will be required to take on the technical design and integration of the Electrical systems for new and existing projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Designing and managing individual projects, resolving technical matters and liaison with clients as and when required.
2. Technical and supervisory guidance in Electrical aspects of the Company.
3. Liaising and developing the relationship with existing clients of the Company also endeavouring to secure new sources of work.
4. Attending project meetings with clients and internal meetings, to discuss progress and policies.
5. Produce client briefing documents and presentations for projects.
Requirements
Experience - Technical Knowledge - Skills
Essential:
1. Member of CIBSE or looking towards membership together with working towards your Chartered Engineering status.
2. Preferably at least 5 years’ experience and a degree in Electrical engineering.
3. Proficient in the use of Office 365, Amtech and AutoCAD LT.
4. Competent in using Dialux software.
5. A conscientious and focused outlook to your profession.
6. The ability to think ‘outside the box’ in solving engineering and commercial problems.
7. Highly motivated with a strong aptitude to learn and develop skills.
8. A positive and friendly team approach
9. Good verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of Revit/ AutoCAD 3D.
2. Previous working experience and knowledge of residential, retail, commercial, and Education sectors.
