Job description

Our client is a major Civil design, engineering and project management consultancy, they currently have an opportunity for a talented Chartered Landscape Architect to join their team in Belfast, with relevant years of experience ideally Chartered or on the Pathway to Chartership.  

 

This position is a unique opportunity to help develop their growing Belfast studios Landscape and Urban design reputation. Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to take leading roles on a large variety of challenging design projects with access to wider UK and International projects. You will collaborate with local and wider UK multi-disciplinary design team colleagues, using your insight and creativity to generate positive, sustainable, impactful designs. They have a strong practice design manifesto and always drive to deliver the best places for people and the planet.  

 

Responsibilities:  

You will be involved in a diverse range of prestigious projects across Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK including public realm, green blue infrastructure, active travel / greenways, parks, master planning and landscape planning.  

- The role provides an excellent opportunity for career progression.  

- You will have a proactive can-do attitude to work within a team and be self-motivated to work independently.  

- You will have the ability to undertake site work and writing technical reports.

Requirements

- Ability to work at all RIBA stages from concept through to detail design and implementation.  

- Strong knowledge of plant materials and sustainable design principles.  

- Develop detailed designs, drawings and specifications for construction.  

- High-quality presentation and communication skills.  

- Ability to manage workload associated with multiple deadlines and projects.  

- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to engage with a wide range of people across internal teams and clients.  

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe in Creative Cloud Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.  

- Hand drawn skills are advantageous.  

- GIS experience is desirable but not required.  

- EnScape and SketchUp experience is desirable but not required.
