Job description

 

 

Our client is entering an exciting period of growth which will see their turnover top £1billion in the next 5 years. They have recently launched their Zero Harm strategy, which will see them positively develop their SHEQ behaviour and create a teams culture that is proactively committed to managing risk and preventing incidents and harm.  

 

Their Property Services pillar is looking to hire a SHEQ Advisor this is a great opportunity for somebody with a strong background in responsive repairs, maintenance and voids management to join a thriving business, based out of their busy Swanley or Thame office.  

 

Your role as SHEQ Advisor will involve:  

 

Undertaking periodic risk assessments and implementing more robust procedures when necessary  

Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues / subcontractors  

Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day to day works of our operational teams  

 

This is primarily a site-based role which will require a SHEQ professional with previously construction / property services sector experience, in addition to a full UK driving license and vehicle for work purposes.  

 

You will also possess the following:  

 

Understanding of health and safety issues as they relate to the property maintenance space, and ability to implement processes in line with industry standards  

Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors; we are looking for a team player who can add value to our operational teams  

CMIOSH or equivalent (or be working towards this)
