Groundworks Project Manager

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who is an international construction company who have secured a project working on the construction for a new Metro Station in Oslo.  

Job Summary  

The Ground Works Project Manager (PM) will have overall operational responsibility for the project. This includes managing subcontractors, overseeing finances, monitoring site progress, ensuring personnel management, planning the sequence of work, and maintaining high standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Developing detailed project plans, including resource allocation for crews, equipment, and procurement.  

• Creating short-term progress schedules.  

• Assisting the Senior Project Manager with production calculations, budget management, forecasts, estimates, post-project analysis, and financial reporting.  

• Reconciling cost plans.  

• Conducting risk assessments for operational activities.  

• Managing subcontractor tasks and supervising personnel assigned to project tasks.  

• Ensuring all personnel comply with the management system and understand their areas of responsibility.  

• A degree in Engineering or Civil Engineering is required, with documented experience in similar projects being advantageous.  

• Broad project experience with a minimum of 3-7 years in similar roles is preferred.  

• Fluency in both Norwegian and English is required, with knowledge of Spanish being an added advantage.
