Electrical Engineer

Our client is a design consultancy looking to hire an Electrical Engineer (intermediate) for major projects across energy, aviation, education, defence and transport sectors. This role involves working with building design professionals delivering engineering design solutions to clients based throughout the UK, client facing experience required along with the day to day design and management of projects. Strong technical skills and the ability to contribute to the growth of the company are essential.  

Duties:  

- Prepare technical specifications using NBS  

- Adhere to quality, environmental and governance processes  

- Design and specification of all electrical building service systems - power, lighting, earthing, life safety, security, access control, telecoms, lifts etc.  

- Work closely with BIM team to prepare models and drawings, with a working understanding of Autodesk Revit  

- Carry out site surveys, inspections and monitor site works  

- Maintain complete records  

- Support and assist junior members of the team  

- Must be able to manage own workload, always working to time allocations  

- Manage elements of project delivery and an understanding of budget costings]  

- review progress, including reporting any issues or changes of scope to the project lead  

- Degree qualified or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering  

- Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET  

- Excellent IT skills, must be software literate including Amtech/Prodesign, DialuxRelux, NBS and Microsoft  

- Ability to take charge of project deliverables and use own initiative  

- Experience working for a design consultancy
