Job description
This contract with our government client is for a HR Specialist for 4 months based in London or Leeds, Hybrid (60% in the office). The pay rate to candidate is circa £350 - £400 per day.
Responsibilities:
As an HR Specialist - you will work with HR colleagues to help deliver their priorities:
- Provide accurate and compliant payroll and payroll services
- Provide efficient and high-quality HR help to the employees
- Work in partnership with third-party providers to deliver high quality specialist HR services and employee benefits
- Improve digital HR user journeys and optimise their use of digital platforms to increase efficiency and self-service
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage the organisation's Employee Benefits offer, including:
- Manage the organisation's childcare, salary sacrifice and cycle to work schemes, including liaising with key stakeholders and validating and processing monthly orders and payroll change
- Launch their new dental and health check plans
- Encourage greater take up of available offers from the staff
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with Edenred on behalf of the client.
- Support the Head of Payroll and Pensions by monitoring Employer Pension Notices and communicating key information to staff
Working with HR Operations colleagues and delivery partners to coordinate a range of projects aimed at improving the delivery of their digital HR services, including:
A Government People Group led Process Mining exercise to identify inefficient processes within ServiceNow and My HR Migration onto an upgraded Service Now platform.
Requirements
• Self-Sufficiency: The ideal candidate should be self-sufficient and able to work independently.
• Project Management Skills: While not specifically a project manager, the candidate should possess strong project management skills and the ability to create action plans and understand how projects run.
• Project Backlog Management: The candidate will manage a backlog of various projects, including:
- Upgrading the ServiceNow platform.
- Reviewing and updating web pages.
- Overseeing projects related to payroll, pensions, and employee benefits.
• Employee Benefits Expansion: In the new year, they are expanding employee benefits and need to effectively communicate these to their employees, including:
- Launching a dental plan and managing the enrolment window.
- Communicating gym memberships and other new benefits to the business.
• Team Briefings and Workshops: Brief the employees on new initiatives and set up work-shops to facilitate employee engagement and training.
• Coordination with SMEs: Effectively coordinate and bring together Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for various projects.
